Your Balance Acupuncture Brisbane practitioner, Louise Bennett, has spent 30 years in the health field developing and honing the skills and knowledge required to work with individuals suffering acute and chronic health issues.

With many years’ experience in nursing, midwifery and gynaecology, Louise has the qualifications not only to treat a wide variety of health issues, but also to practice within her particular areas of interest – women’s health (including pregnancy and fertility) and pain management.

Louise was first introduced to acupuncture as a patient and the experience was to prove so powerful as to inspire her to change career, leaving the busy maternity and nursing wards to become a Chinese medicine practitioner.

This life-changing experience came in her mid-30’s when a longed-for second child was conceived with the assistance of regular acupuncture treatments. Later, when her busy family life with two energetic children had been making day-to-day living difficult and Louise found herself existing rather than living, it was a series of acupuncture treatments that allowed joy back into her life.

It was the positive results from her personal experience with acupuncture that prompted Louise to learn more about how to holistically treat patients using a combination of Western and Eastern medicine. She completed her Bachelor Health Science (Acupuncture) in 2009.
